Schotzi Halley MS CCC-SLP Bachelors: Western Washington University Masters: Nova Southeastern University Trainings: Wired for Reading™, PROMPT Courses Taken: A Language Based Approach to Managing Echolalia From Echolalia to Self-Generated Language: Case Studies in Natural Language Acquisition I am passionate and dedicated to helping individuals who struggle to communicate. Many of my family members have some form of speech and/or language disorder. Thanks to the help of many excellent speech-language pathologists, my family members impacted by speech disorders, language disorders, dyslexia, and ASD live wonderful and fulfilling lives. I guess it’s safe to say I have been working with neurodivergent individuals my entire life. I am thankful for the fantastic opportunities I have experienced. Early in my career, I worked at a non-profit intervention center for deaf and hard of hearing children. I have also had the pleasure of working in private and public schools. I learned so much about teamwork and how to collaborate with other professionals during this time. For the past two years, I have worked in private practice, primarily with children with complex communication disorders. |
